Happy Days!

Day 2 - Goondiwindi to Dalby
today's total ..399.2 km

After a very rocky start yesterday… today turned out to be much better!
…...just a recap of Day 1

We were farewelled by Captain Starlight and Captain Starlight in Armidale NSW
Lunch at Delungra, found us at the local servo doing repairs… even the local policeman chipped in and was on the hunt for a new diff for us!!
Once on the road again.. only 1hour after the last car… we got bogged!….then lost!
(not totally nav girls fault… the Garmin lost service!)
But finally we limped into Goondiwindi QLD after dark!
What a lovely town… just wish I had time to explore… and visit a certain bird on the border…but alas we were worn out!! .. I'll have to come back!

Leaving Goondi today we had roads like this….
 Then roads like this!!….

There were dingo gates to open… and close

A school to visit…. Kindon State School.. with 11 pupils

Can you guess who I am??
A few donuts on the oval….at the principal's request would you believe!.. the kids loved it!
Then onto Millmerran for lunch…. poor Batman and Robin had a little mishap and needed a tow
Cecil Plains had a hotel we just couldn't go past without stopping for a drink!
Then arriving in Dalby it was straight to the tyre shop for 2 more new tyres…unfortunately some poor advice and we drove away with tyres that are too big!… so tomorrow we will start the day with a visit to the tyre shop again!!!…. lets just hope we make it to the starting line in time at 8am!
 Dalby countryside….Very flat!!
So we are now back on trek and tomorrow we head for the coast and Hervey Bay
Till my next report
Cheers
Floss or should I say Nav Girl??
