A New Year Start

Finally... I have emerged from a huge sewing room clean up.....It just got soooo overwhelming and I couldn't even sew in there!...even Chooky volunteered to come and sort me out!......I was heading for a program of Hoarders!

I started with this.......
And got to this......

I know... I still have a lot to do...but at least now I have a creative mess...and I produced these little thread catchers...They are part of our Stitch-a-long for January....and they REALLY are addictive!
My neighbour arrived with these little treats...they are just so cute...how could you eat them?....The little purple guy looks sad :(
Have a great Australia Day...
I'm off to the beach at Manly.. and.. its our 28th wedding anniversary, so I'm going to have a good time!
Cheers Lea

  5. I did mine last weekend and I now have my cutting table back instead of it being where everything was being put. I have started Leanne's "Frogs in the Pond" from the Summer Vignette, although mine's called "Cats in the Cradle".
My daughter-in-law regularly does those tiny teddy bikkies for her kids' parties and I like them a lot. I prefer them made with a different choccie bikkie than tim tams or the like.
    Enjoy your creative space!

  9. What a great transformation of your sewing room. I showed Mick and told him it wasn't just me that has their "Stuff" take over. I have to do some serious tidying too. Have a great time for your anniversary.

  11. Oh my goodness, that looks like my little sewing nook just before I got stuck into it today. I even took photos as well. LOL! Dont' know if I'll post my clean up on my blog though. I might. I had to clean up my space so I could sew my thread catchers.

Love your little orange thread catcher with the tape measure around the top. Too cute.
